Residence
In my NEW HOUSE in Schleißheim, Austria. It's my homebase as well as office and workshop for ADP – ROTWILD Austria (distribution and team FIAT ROTWILD) at the same time.

When did you start riding bikes?
I was nine years old when everybody in my school got a BMX bike, so did I. We were lucky because there was a BMX track in my hometown and I just went on.

What was your biggest success?
5 time Austrian Champion BMX
3. place, 4. place and 5. place at the BMX World Championships (1991 bis 93)
Vice-European Champion BMX in 1993
3. place at the X-Mas Classic in Columbus, Ohio USA in 1992 and 5. place at the same event in 1998, after a four years break!
Victory at the Eurobike dual-sprint in 1995 (I was able to beat Jürgen Beneke in the semi-final)
And finally: 15 years of racing without serious injuries!

When did you become a member of the Team FIAT ROTWILD?
As a rider in 1997, as a team-manager in 2000.

Since when are you working in the bike business? How did you get there?
I learned to be a engine fitter, but most of the time I was busy with building brakeboosters and stems until my boss told me I should do this as a main profession. In 1993 I entered Roox Bicycle Components, there I was free to realise my own ideas. Since 2000 I'm working with ADP Engineering where I'm responsible for the distribution in Austria and for the Team FIAT ROTWILD.

What about your time at Roox and right now at ROTWILD?

Roox was cool. I was proud that we were able to realise such a brand as a pretty small company with only three people. For example: You could purchase my chain device in 38 countries and we won all titles in downhill and 4X with riders like Cedric Gracia and AnnCaro Chausson.
ROTWILD is much more professional, there are more engineers and we know much more about the technique.

What is special for you about the Team FIAT ROTWILD?
That we have such a big team as a small company (in some years we had more teamriders than employees). As years go by we had top riders like Regina Stiefel, Andy Bühler, Sara Stieger or Stefan Kudella, who was the only one to interrupt the 13 years lasting serial of Markus Klausmann as German Master in downhill. Riders like Andi Strobel are team members for 7 years.

Where is your hometrail and what are your favourite bike spots?

It'be cool if I had time  to find out ... but I prefer Deggendorf or Saalbach-Hinterglemm.

Which one is your favourite ROTWILD bike?
RDH 04 Pullshock … because it's so different … I like all the RDH (downhill) models nad the new R.E.D. bikes of course.

What is your favourite race?

Fort William ... because about 3 millions people go crazy over there, though it's a hell of wheather, a lot of entrance fee and far away from any civilization.
