Why did you start riding bikes? When did you start?
When I was 14 years old, biking was only a way to get from one place to another. Once, my mother came back from shopping and gave me a map with different MTB tracks. That’s how I discovered MTB and the pleasure to ride across new landscapes in a short period of time. First I used to ride alone, then with some friends and now with Olivier, my boyfriend, who is also fond of biking.

When did you start racing?
2001

What was your largest success in riding?
Swiss Bike Master 2006: 4
Schwarzwald Bike Marathon Furtwangen, 90 km: 1
Eurobike Extrem general ranking: 3
Roc d’Azur 2006: 2
Team Relay National Championship: 3
Cape Epic 3. Place 2007
Transalp Challenge 2. Place 2007

When did you start riding for the TEAM FIAT ROTWILD?
In 2007.

What is special about the TEAM FIAT ROTWILD?
Being a member of this team is a great opportunity to be in touch with people who are fond of marathons. Actually in France, teams are more interested in short races.

Where is your hometrail and what are your favourite bikespots?
I train at home. The first single-trails are not very far from where I live. My favourite bikespot could be in Livigno. This place is full of single-trails. The Livigno valley and the Stelvio national park are really beautiful.

Which one is your favourite ROTWILD bike and why?
In 2005, Olivier was often talking about ROTWILD bikes. At the end of 2005 I wanted to buy a new bike, and when I saw the bikes he was always talking about (RCC 0.3 and RCC 1.2) in Fréjus (Roc d’Azur) I knew that it would be one of these because... they looked good. I chose the RCC 0.3. It was a real pleasure to ride with this bike: full suspended, light, easy to handle...simply perfect.

I could not say I have one favorite bike. Both the RCC 1.2R and the R.R2 FS ride really impressive.

What are your most favourite races and why?
I don’t have a favourite race. I really like the Swiss Bike Master in Küblis and the National Bike Marathon in Scuol because both of these races let you discover beautiful landscapes even when sometimes it is getting hard. Another race that I really like is the Roc d’Azur in Fréjus, especially because it is sunny. A good opportunity to ride in the sun before the winter. The racetrack is full of singletrails and I also enjoy the downhills.

How much do you train?
Between 10 and 15 hours per week.

What are your sportive goals in 2008?
This year I have the opportunity again to take part in stage races (TransGermany, TransAlp). For me, it is as if a dream was becoming true. So I will do my best and I hope I won’t disappoint people who gave me this opportunity.

Do you have a personal motto?
Always try to do the best you can. When it is getting hard I remember wintertime: if I have the will to train by night I should have the will to finish the race.
